Shipping FAQ

Orders are typically packaged for shipment within 1-2 business days. 

Orders with EXPRESS and NEXT DAY SHIPPING will be packaged for shipment within one business day. 

Free No-Rush Shipping for Flatpacks and ExactPacks may not generate a tracking number.

Free No-Rush Shipping on Flatpack orders <$49

Flatpack Free No-Rush Shipping is an economy service delivered by The United States Postal Service (USPS), which may not provide tracking. On average, Free No-Rush Shipping orders are packed up and shipped within 2-4 business days and then typically reach their destination 3 to 8 business days after the date of shipment. If you need tracking or faster delivery, please pick a paid shipping method. 

We are hearing of select incidents of Flatpack shipments arriving with postage due. This happens when a local postmaster mistakenly determines our Flatpack mailers to be too large for the envelope shipping rate. If you’ve been charged a shipping fee, please contact us about it so we can get you refunded. 

Standard Shipping

  • Flat rate of $5.95 on Flatpack orders under $49 
  • Flat rate of $7.95 for all other orders under $49 
  • Free on orders over $49* 

On average, Standard Shipping orders are packed up and shipped within 2-4 business days and then typically reach their destination 3 to 5 business days after the date of shipment.  

Most of our Standard Shipping packages are delivered by the USPS. USPS is struggling with increased package volume and decreased revenue. These economy shipping services are the most prone to delay. To minimize the chance of delivery delays for more urgent orders, we encourage customers to select UPS Ground or another premium shipping option. 

UPS Ground

  • Flat rate of $14.95 for orders under $49 
  • Flat rate of $9.95 for orders over $49 

On average, UPS Ground orders are packed up and shipped within 2-4 business days and then typically reach their destination 2-3 business days after the date of shipment. While we cannot guarantee a delivery date, UPS Ground tends to be faster and more reliable than free or Standard Shipping services that rely on USPS. Estimated shipping time based on your location will be provided during checkout. Note this service is not offered on orders with only Flatpacks under $49. 

Premium Shipping

If your order is urgent, please select a premium shipping option to have your order packaged for shipment within 1 business day, guaranteed: 

  • Express (UPS 2 to 3 Day): variable based on order size and location 
  • Next Day (UPS Next Day): variable based on order size and location 

UPS delivers 2nd Day and Next Day packages Monday – Friday, excluding postal holidays. Next Day shipping is guaranteed to arrive the next business day after the day of shipment, however, Express delivery is no longer guaranteed by UPS. We have seen only a few cases where a package arrived just one day later than the 2 to 3 Day estimate.  

Global Shipping

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer shipping to countries beyond the United States.   

Third-Party Logistics/Freight Forwarders

We only guarantee direct shipments to recipients in the US and US territories. The use of, and shipment to, any freight forwarder or 3PL is entirely at the customers’ risk. The  accepts no responsibility for such orders once they have left our facility. By having an order shipped to a third-party logistics company/freight forwarder, the purchaser agrees to these terms and shall hold harmless The Spice House, for any loss, theft, or destruction of said shipments. 

Spice Partner Shipping - Products That Ship Direct From Vendor

Items marked “Ships directly from vendor” are not fulfilled & shipped by The Spice House and are not available in our stores. These items ship directly from third-party vendors, our “Spice Partners.” These items are not eligible for promotional discounts. Similarly, any promotional discounts offered by our Spice Partners are not redeemable on The Herbivore Spice Company  website. These items cannot be cancelled by The Herbivore Spice Company. For any questions regarding your order of Spice Partner items, you may need to reach out to the Spice Partner brand directly. Please contact us with any questions. 

Feedback

A few weeks or so after you order, you will get an email from us asking how we did. If your spices are not amazing, then please let us know. If a jar broke, a bag came open, or an item is missing, then please say so. Pictures are especially helpful so we can learn from our mistakes.
